About

The

Inn

After running a successful automotive repair facility in northern Ohio for two decades, the Inn’s hosts, Kim & Eric, were looking to make a move closer to the mountains. Eric had been an avid powersports rider in the area for over 15 years and all it took was one visit for him to convince Kim this was their dream location. They made the trip to view a property that was for sale and after deciding it was not a good fit for what the couple wanted, Kim fell in love with the house next door. This large red brick home sat up high, the landscaping was all overgrown, the windows covered in dust & cobwebs but it spoke to both of them. They began exploring the property and as timing would have it, the owner showed up. It was like they had been friends with Mike for years, from the first handshake the couple knew they had stumbled onto something very special. Mike asked if the they wanted to see inside and without hesitation the couple jumped at the opportunity however the offer came with a disclaimer that the house was not for sale. This was Mikes family home, his parents Paul & Geraldine had raised a family of five kids and a handful of grandchildren and his grandmother living on the top floor, Ms. Hattie Pearl. Mike smiled and spoke of Sunday dinners with the entire family, sledding down the hills in the winter, gardens & fruit trees, and the list goes on. Walking through the house listening to Mike reminisce, Kim was convinced she & Eric would live there one day. After spending a significant amount of time with Mike, the couple returned the next day to inquire again about purchasing the home. This time, Mike explained the house was for sale but only to the couple. Everything just fell in to place, within a month, Kim & Eric had closed their business in NE Ohio, sold their home and made the move. They began renovations to make their dream of having a bed & breakfast a reality! In addition to buying their dream home in the beautiful hills of SW Virginia, they also gained a best friend in Mike.

We look forward to your stay.
